The results

The freshers' stand was impressive and eye-catching, and saw endless queues and stand engagement throughout the tour, with nearly 9,000 pieces of data collected.

The brief

The Crowd team were approached by Kortext to create a campaign that directly communicated to students the usability and key benefits of Kortext’s digital bookshelf that was available for free to students at certain universities.


How we delivered

Crowd created an eco-friendly and interactive set up, with a bespoke interactive digital game that showcased Kortext services to students across 18 days at 14 key partnership universities. 


Utilising touch screen displays, we built a bespoke and engaging digital game that placed the Kortext bookshelf directly in front of thousands of students across the tour. The game directed students to pick a book from the bookshelf and a prize was revealed. Through live stock tracking, the system kept on top of which prizes had been given away and therefore how many items were still available - imperative during a busy freshers fair. Prizes ranged from power banks, water bottles, travel cups, packs of cards and charging cables. These keepsakes ensure the Kortext brand remains present on campus throughout the academic year. 


With an inbuilt data capture system, Kortext was also able to collate valuable data that allowed them to embark on a remarketing strategy that reminded students of how to access this free tool throughout their university journey. 


We were also able to promote the environmental benefits of the Kortext app to students through the eco banners and eco backdrop that were specially designed for this activity.
