Account Manager

Hours: Monday- Friday 9am-5pm (37 hours per week) 

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 + bonus + Additional Benefits

Responsible to: Head of Campaign Delivery 

Contract: Permanent 

Location: Beckford, Gloucestershire. Flexible home working available

Our Account Managers are the beating heart of the agency. They play a crucial role in exceeding client expectations, delivering great campaigns on time and on budget, and are ultimately responsible for wowing clients into renewing their contracts with us. You will be the main point of contact for the client, there to strategically advise, offer counsel and represent the agency.

 

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

 

  • Manage a portfolio of client accounts and act as the first point of contact for client questions and requests

  • Establish and maintain trust-based fulfilling relationships with clients, internal teams, and suppliers

  • Manage multiple projects from start to finish (often with competing priorities) liaising with in-house teams and external suppliers to deliver an integrated and seamless experience for clients

  • Become a trusted source of counsel and guidance for clients 

  • Generate creative and unique ideas, but also utilise tried and tested concepts 

  • Present and ‘sell’ ideas/ concepts to the client

  • Anticipate and solve emerging account problems or challenges

  • Anticipate your client’s needs, being always on step ahead 

  • Find new ways to add value and wow the client - encouraging your Account Executive to do the same along the way

  • Maintain open and transparent communications of client issues with your leaders

  • Generate accurate reports on the status of existing accounts, KPI reports etc 

  • Keep abreast of marketing / youth trends and share this knowledge internally and with your client

  • Be responsible for the workload and delivery of your Account Executive(s)

  • Act as a role model and mentor to your Account Executive(s)

 

About you…

 

First and foremost, you are a good person, with a good sense of humour– someone who will contribute a positive and proactive “can-do” energy to the whole agency. Ideally, you currently work or have worked in an agency setting before (marketing, PR, events - we’re not precious!). Perhaps you’re an Account Executive that is ready for the next step in your career?


 

Ultimately though, you have a great mind, are curious by nature and demonstrate critical thinking in how you approach challenges and opportunities. Our Account Managers are creative, yet commercially minded and strike the right balance between coming up with something super creative, but knowing when less is more.

 

As an Account Manager, you must have strong interpersonal and communication skills. You must be able to finesse delicate client relationships while driving the agency to produce great results. You will have a natural ability to transfer creative ideas into workable proposals and be able to make this come to life in front of clients.

 

You must have strong leadership skills and be able to lead your Account Executive, delegate, mentor and work with the Head of Campaign Delivery on their overall development.

 

At Crowd, we have an ‘all hands on deck’ approach at times, to get the job done. It is vital that you’re a team player and enjoy getting stuck in and learning new skills - in fact, we actively encourage this. 

 

It goes without saying, but you must be organised, personable, business minded, creative and have exceptional relationship building skills. We don’t expect you to do all of this on your own. We work as one big team here at Crowd, and often all collaborate to put the clients best interests first.
